Renzo Pazzini trained as a school teacher and during twenty years he worked as a teacher and wrote at the same time. He was the founder of the magazine Difesa artistica (Artistic Defense) and also worked for other magazines. In 1926 he was forced to retire from teaching because of political problems.

He wrote children's novels, poems in Italian and in the Parmesan dialect. He also authored texts for musical works and translated Émile Baumann's novel "Le signe sur les mains" from the French. Several schools were named after him.
