Raffaele Bisteghi was the author of "Il Gioco delle Bocchie", a book with regulations on the precision game bocce. It was published in Bologna in 1820. In his will Bisteghi stated that his tomb should at least cost 12,000 lires. He died in 1881 and Enrico Barberi (1850-1941) was commissioned to create the tomb. He started working on it before or in 1885 and it was fisnished in 1891. It is located at the Galleria degli Angeli of the Certosa Cemetery in Bologna. |
