Giovanni Ciniselli studied at the Brera Academy in Milan and with the sculptor Magni in Rome. In 1856 he settled in Rome and there he specialised in portraits and mythological subjects. He exhibited in European countries and in Australia. Well known is his work "Ruth" (c.1880) at the Botanical Gardens in Glasgow. |
