Paul von Bruns was the son of the surgeon Victor von Bruns (1812-1883). He studied Medicin in Tübingen and in 1870 he was promoted. In 1877 he married Marie Weizsäcker (1857-1939), a daughter of Karl Heinrich Weizsäcker (1822-1899). They had two sons. In 1881 he inherited his father's chair as Professor of Surgery in Tübingen. He was physicina to the king of Württemberg and commanding general physician of the army of Württemberg. He died in 1916 in Tübingen. |
