Otto Greiner studied from 1888 to 1891 under Sándor Liezen-Mayer at the Academy in Munich. In 1891 he travelled to Italy where he befriended Max Klinger. He lived in Munich and Leipzig until he moved to Rome in 1898. There he stayed until 1915. His work was influenced but Klinger and he often portrayed nudes. His "Odysseus und die Sirenen" (1902) hung at the Museum der Bildende Künste in Leipzig but it is missing since 1945. Related persons was a friend of Klinger, Max |
