Louisa Powell married the actor Rhomas Manders in 1820. Together they toured the provinces until they settled in London in 1829. She had a long acting career that was marked by several serious accidents. In 1834 she fell from the flies at the Sadler's Wells Theatre. In her later years she successfully played older women.
