Alexander Frank worked as a political secretary for a Member of Parliament. He was trained as an actor by the famous Henry Irving and appeared on the London stage before he went to the USA around 1900. There he appeared on the stage and also in films. For a while he also worked as a film director, but later in his career he was a performer again. His last part was in 1935 in Elsie Schauffler's play "Parnell". He played W.E. Gladstone, whom he had met himself in his youth. |
