Flockina von Platen was taught the acting profession by Ilka Grüning and Lucie Höflich. She had made her movie debut when she was only 16 years in "Der Dolch der Malayen" (1919). In 1927 she debuted on the stage in Berlin in "Theo macht alles". She returned to the movies in "Die Pranke" (1931) and in 1932 she appeared next to Heinz Rühmann in the comedy "Strich durch die Rechnung" and in the same year she was in "Quick" with Lilian Harvey. Around that time she was in a long term relationship with theatre manager Eugen Klöpfer. In 1941 she was in the propaganda move "Ohm Krüger" and in 1945 she made her last movie, "Erzieherin Gesucht" (1945). She lived until 1984 and died in Berlin.
