Maria Magdalena von Pfingsten was the sister of Gabriel von Pfingsten, who was the second Mayor of Vilich from 1825 to 1855. In 1818 she married judge Caspar Anton von Mastiaux. Therese von Mastiaux (1809-1840) was their daughter. After the death of her husband, she married Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm von Schiller, the son of the playwright and poet Friedrich Schiller, in 1823.
