Franz Bethge studied at the Singakademie and at the Uraniatheater in Berlin. His acting career took him to Görlitz, Breslau, Posen, Würzburg and Stettin, before he was engaged at the theatre in Wiesbaden. There he had a successfull career until his death in 1896. His younger brother Fritz Bethge (1841-1890) was an actor as well. Karl Bender (1864-1910) was his pupil. |
