Ida Carloni Talli was best known as a stage actress. She was trained at the Filodrammatica romana. In 1887 she joined the company of Giuseppe Pietriboni in Verona and in 1890 she moved to the Favi company where she appeared in "La trilogia di Dorina" by Gerolamo Rovetta. There she met Virgilio Talli and she married him on 17 May 1900.

From 1913 to 1925 she appeared in a number of silent movies. After she ended her stage career she became a teacher at Eleanora Duse's school that was part of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She workedthere from 1924 to 1935 and Kiki Palmer and Anna Magnani were among her students. She died in 1940 in Milan.
