Auguste Anschütz was the daughter of the famous actor Heinrich Anschütz. As a child she appeared at the Burgtheater in Vienna from 1831 to 1836. After engagements in Leipzig and Dresden, she worked from 1841 to 1871 for the Burgtheater. She married the painter and photographer George Koberwein in 1844.
