Harry Gondi started in the theatre and made his film debut in 1921 in "Die Fremde aus der Elstergasse". From 1927 onwards he acted in several silent movies, like "Eheferien" (1927) and "Biberpelz" (1928). After 1930 he mainly focussed on the theatre again, although he could be seen in several movies during the thirties.

His last part was in "Ingrid - Die Geschichte eines Fotomodells" (1955). In Hamburg he was the founder of the first theatre for children.
