Mother of the composer Richard Wagner. She was an illegitimate
daughter of prince Friedrich Ferdinand Constantin, the brother
of Grand Duke Karl August of Weimar. After her first husband Friedrich Wagner died she married the painter and actor Ludwig Geyer.
