Franz Albin Vetsera was the younger brother of Mary Vetsera, the lover of crown prince Rudolph. He was the son of Albin Vetsera and Helena Baltazzi and known as Feri in the family. In 1904 he married Margit Marie, Countess of Bissingen und Nippenburg (1883-1944) and they had three daughters. He died during the First World War near Kukli in Poland.

He was provisionally buried in Rozyscze in Wolhynien. After a request by his relatives his remains were transferred to the cemetery of Payerbach on 18 December 1915 and buried near his uncle Alexander. They were transferred again when the new family vault at the same cemetery was finished. His mother was buried in this vault as well in 1925.
