Opened for burials: 1139

The cemetery is probably as old as the monastery St. Peter and burial rights were mentioned as early as 1139. The oldest surviving tomstone is from 1288 and several tombstones from the 14th century are still there. In 1878 the cemetery was closed for burials, but since 1930 they were allowed again.
