Opened for burials: 1834 Size: 2.05 hectares After the cemetery at the Chausseestrasse was removed early in the 20th century, the St. Hedwig cemetery is the oldes Catholic cemetery in Berlin. The chapel was built in 1866-1867 and it was rebuilt in its original style in 1987. Many historical graves were lost in 1961 and in 1967 when the Berlin Wall was built. |
